Draw your own colorful conclusions amidst others who paint it black or white for you…

Out there amongst us, there are a few perfectionists, for whom the world is either black or white. They have set standards of life and expectations form Who is who? How to behave? What to do? When to do? They are backed by strong and stringent rules and are highly judgmental. You know it or not but they are quietly noting every minute detail of yours like a body language expert. Busy in a dialogue with self, categorizing people around. Not that they are insensitive but have their own way of life. They have seen stringent rules and brought up in some type of aristocratic manner or should I say disciplined manner may be.  Quite like the y judge other and have slots for different personalities, they are sure about their own types and proud of every bit they are, despite all the fallacies that exist in them. They put their foot down on every damn thing and try making the things work their ways. Don’t really know but getting a little judgmental here I think control freak I guess would be the right word to quote for them.

But then, who gives them the right to judge? And who knows how sound are their judgments? I personally have sensed that whenever you have highly opinionated and judgmental people around, the more it makes you conscious and weary of being yourself. And life is not just about meeting every body’s standards of expectations each time, but to freely be yourself and explore the marvelous you every day. But then again, some people might take this funda as well quite lightly and that is where it gets complicated to draw the line and make out the difference. But this is for each individual to decide. We often look at ideals in our families and friends, and while we do so we must also go on in drawing our own rules with logical reasoning to define our own behavior and relationships. Because at the end it is our life and no one can make it and dwell in it like we can.

So while you listen to all opinions, judgments, advices…never forget your capabilities of decision making. Lead your life on your own terms by your set of rules and be with people who don’t bully you but give you space to be yourself.

Isolation plea...

Just for a day, let me be...

Spare me of expectations, set me free.

Running around in life, I gasp for breath,

Not that I fear the strife, but I am fatigued.

Past is past, it was decades ago,

Picture me not, in a frame so old.

Yes, you nurtured and trusted me too,

Not that I don’t reciprocate, but even I am blue.

If you can then do excuse,

Enough of it now, I need refuge.

And once I am me, I shall return,

Romancing life, in a new verve!

Multi facets of a Woman, put the real face of her in jeopardy!

I always wanted to write about womanhood from quite some time now, but it was bewildering for me to choose a start point. There is lots of beauty attached to being a woman than just being pretty and glamorous. Also, there could be 'n' number of instances that can be brought to light to portray the multiple roles she plays with her enormous zeal. But I had never thought I would begin with spotting one of her dilemas in life.

Being a woman myself, I have grown up watching lots of women around me, from having studied in a girls school, college to having many friends in and out of office and further learning and observing from the women of both my families. They work the hardest of all with all rigour and zeal but they often collapse being dissatisfied too. They shell out all their love and energies but often at the cost of themselves. Of course they themselves are to be blamed for it but then there is also the society and the patriarchal system of value to be blamed too.

This system being the base of our society has gone to be so robust that you will often find a woman burdened with tonnes of expectations by another woman itself. I well understand the key role of a woman in the family and agree that she really needs to steer certain values and discipline to all her further generations but at the same time I back her personal space too. By all means she has all rights of being herself, devoting time to keep up with her interests in life and may be go away- into the state of blankness much like the men, which can happen only if the levels of expectations from her are lowered a bit.

Over the many generations these expectations go higher, suppressing her to do and work the way that other women in the family have been doing but the matter of fact is, the woman of today needs to evolve with the times and keep up to them. Being humans of limited capabilities, it is important to understand that while meeting a few expectations, she might loose out on a few others but just bragging about your experience into her ears all the time would not help but only create much chaos and noise in her head, leading her to drown her own being in the rising levels of expectations.

I know I might be looking at just one aspect of it and might be hind sighted, but again I will learn gradually. Many will have their own set of point of views and might completely disown my thoughts, end up being disappointed after reading it all but then my message to them is to lower their level of expectations and simply observe how I evolve.
